In the early morning hours of Sunday, detectives were called to Christ the King Catholic Church on Dorsey Road, where there was a reported robbery where a man was caught on camera breaking a window to gain access to the building, officials said.

According to police, because the incident involved the damage of church-owned property, it is considered a hate crime, which remains under investigation as of Tuesday, April 16, when the department released surveillance photos of the wanted suspect.

Investigators described the man as being heavy-set, bald, with a full beard moustache. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark jacket, and jeans at the time of the break-in.

Anyone with information regarding the man, burglary, or vandalism at the church has been asked to contact the agency's Northern District Detective Unit by calling (410) 222-6135.
